About this quiz
A map clicking quiz on the 50 states. Every wrong click tells you which state you hit, and after three misses the state is marked and the quiz moves on.
- Alaska is the largest state and Rhode Island is the smallest.
- Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah meet at a single point, the Four Corners.
- Missouri and Tennessee each touch eight other states, more than any others.
- Alaska and Hawaii are drawn in the lower left corner, out of position and not to scale.

Note on the data. The 50 states are those on the Census Bureau's state code list, leaving out the District of Columbia and the territories. The map is drawn from the Census Bureau's public domain cartographic boundary files, with Alaska and Hawaii moved and rescaled into the lower left corner.
