- Small countries have a generous target: click on or right beside them.
- Pinch or use the zoom buttons to get closer.

About this quiz
Two questions in one click: whose capital is this, and where is that state? A wrong click tells you which state you hit, and a found state shows its own name on the map.
- Alaska is the largest state and Rhode Island is the smallest.
- Alaska and Hawaii are drawn in the lower left corner, out of position and not to scale.

Note on the data. The 50 capitals were checked against the National Archives list of state capitals. The 50 states are those on the Census Bureau's state code list, leaving out the District of Columbia and the territories. The map is drawn from the Census Bureau's public domain cartographic boundary files, with Alaska and Hawaii moved and rescaled into the lower left corner.
