- Loses that name; play goes on
- 6 outlines are laid out. A name appears: click its outline, or press its number.
- Each outline fills its own tile, so size tells you nothing: go by shape.
- Once a name has been asked its outline is labelled, so the last ones on a board can be worked out.
- Pause whenever you like (Esc). The board hides while the clock is stopped.

About this quiz
A shape recognition quiz. Each board deals six outlines from 50 states, every one enlarged to fill its tile, so a small state looks as big as a large one and only the shape can tell them apart.
- A wrong pick loses that name and the right outline is labelled, so the rest of the board can still be worked out. Minefield mode ends the round instead.
- The first round of each day deals the same boards to everyone. Play again for a fresh deal.
- Keys 1 to 6 pick the outlines in reading order.

Note on the data. The 50 states are those on the Census Bureau's state code list, leaving out the District of Columbia and the territories. The map is drawn from the Census Bureau's public domain cartographic boundary files, with Alaska and Hawaii moved and rescaled into the lower left corner. Each outline is the state's shape on Ribbia's own map, islands included. A state is used only when its main landmass is drawn with at least 24 points.
