About this quiz
In a Stroop test the word and its ink disagree: the word red printed in blue. Naming the ink is slower and more error prone than reading the word, because reading happens whether you want it to or not.
- Most people are faster here than when naming the ink. Play both and compare your mean reaction times to see your own Stroop effect.
- Every colour has a shape of its own (red is a circle, blue a square, green a triangle, orange a diamond, purple a star, pink a cross), shown beside the ink, so the test can be played without telling the colours apart.
