About this quiz
In a Stroop test the word and its ink disagree: the word red printed in blue. Naming the ink is slower and more error prone than reading the word, because reading happens whether you want it to or not.
- Every prompt holds a decoy: when you are asked for the word orange, one of the other three is printed in orange ink, and the other way round.
- Every colour has a shape of its own (red is a circle, blue a square, green a triangle, orange a diamond, purple a star, pink a cross), shown beside the ink, so the test can be played without telling the colours apart.
- The result gives your mean reaction time, and today's first round is the same sequence for everyone, so results can be compared.
