- A colour word appears, printed in the ink of a different colour. Pick the word, or the ink, as the prompt asks.

About this quiz
In a Stroop test the word and its ink disagree: the word red printed in blue. Naming the ink is slower and more error prone than reading the word, because reading happens whether you want it to or not.
- Reading is so automatic that the word gets in the way of naming the ink. That slowdown is the Stroop effect.
- Every colour has a shape of its own (red is a circle, blue a square, green a triangle, orange a diamond, purple a star, pink a cross), shown beside the ink, so the test can be played without telling the colours apart.
- The result gives your mean reaction time, and today's first round is the same sequence for everyone, so results can be compared.
