About this quiz
Some states barely notice: NW JRSY is easy to read. Others nearly vanish. Ohio is left with only an H, and Iowa with only a W.
- Mississippi keeps seven of its eleven letters: MSSSSPP.
- The list is sorted by the consonants, not by the state names.

Note on the data. The 50 states are those on the Census Bureau's state code list. The hints are computed from the names: accents and punctuation removed, then every A, E, I, O and U, with Y kept.
