About this quiz
Ribbia counts 197 countries: the 193 members of the United Nations plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan. The run covers 20 letters and 190 countries: A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S, T, U, V.
- Each letter has its own 20 second clock, and the table for that letter is shown when the round ends.
- Naming the top entry wins the round at once; anything lower still scores for itself and everything below it.
- Letters with fewer than three countries are left out.
- Left out for want of an official figure: Taiwan, Vatican City.

Note on the data. Figures are the United Nations mid 2025 population estimates (World Population Prospects 2024, as carried in the Statistical Yearbook table released in November 2025), read on 3 October 2026, for the countries on Ribbia's list of 197. Taiwan and Vatican City have no figure in that table and are left out rather than estimated.
