About this quiz

The twelve Olympians of Greek mythology, each with the things the British Museum's guide says they ruled or looked after. Every answer comes with the god's Roman name.

  • Apollo is the only one of the twelve with the same name in the Greek and the Roman tradition.
  • In some versions Hestia is counted as the twelfth Olympian in place of Dionysos.
  • Zeus, Poseidon and Hades divided the skies, the sea and the underworld between them.
