About this quiz
Counting back in sevens is a well known test of concentration, because seven does not line up with the tens and every step needs real subtraction.
- There are 14 steps from 100 down to 2.
- The last digits run 3, 6, 9, 2, 5, 8, 1, 4, 7, 0 and then repeat.
- The run passes through 51 and 30 on the way down.
- Two is where it stops, because 100 leaves a remainder of 2 when divided by 7.
