About this quiz
All 50 states are counted; the District of Columbia and the territories are not states. The run covers 7 letters and 34 US states: A, C, I, M, N, O, W.
- Each letter has its own 20 second clock, and the table for that letter is shown when the round ends.
- Naming the top entry wins the round at once; anything lower still scores for itself and everything below it.
- Letters with fewer than three US states are left out.

Note on the data. Figures are total area (land plus water) in square kilometres from the Census Bureau's state area measurements, read on 3 October 2026. The 50 states are ranked; the District of Columbia and the territories are not states and are left out.
