Twenty answers on the 50 states, in four sets of five. Each one places a piece of the jigsaw. Under the pieces is one last question: answer it as early as you can read it.

- 1 for the final answer, 1 for every piece left
- Type any answer from any set. Each right one places a piece and uncovers part of a hidden question.
- Answer the hidden question as soon as you can read it. That ends the game, and unplaced pieces score.
- A wrong guess costs nothing but time. Run out of time before the final answer and nothing scores.
- Pause whenever you like (Esc). The board hides while the clock is stopped.
Type answers to place pieces, then answer the question they uncover. The clue sets and the covered jigsaw appear when you start.
About this quiz
All 50 states are in play; the District of Columbia and the territories are not states. This edition draws on 50 states, and every set is worked out from the same figures the other Ribbia geography quizzes use.
- Answers can be typed in any order, from any set. A wrong guess costs nothing but time.
- The final question can be answered at any moment, even before a single piece is placed, and answering it ends the game.
- The score is one point for the final answer plus one for every piece still unplaced, so 21 is the most and a finished jigsaw scores 1.
- Area is total area, land and water together; population is the estimate for 1 July 2025.

Note on the data. Every answer is read by code from Ribbia's shared list of the 50 states, checked on 3 October 2026: total area (land plus water) from the Census Bureau's state area measurements, resident population estimates for 1 July 2025 (Vintage 2025), state capitals, and the order of admission from the Congressional Research Service report R47747 (for the 13 original states, the date each ratified the Constitution). The map under the question is drawn from the Census Bureau's cartographic boundary files.
