About this quiz

The titles come from Ribbia's checked list of 33 Hercule Poirot novels. Only titles with a word that can be cleanly removed are used, and never two that would share a missing word.

  • The clock allows five seconds a title: 75 seconds for 15.
  • A wrong pick shows the full title for a moment, then the next one appears. Its word still leaves the bank, so nothing later becomes a guess.
  • Each round draws 15 of the 24 titles in the set; the first round of the day is the same for everyone.
