About this quiz
Mass is how much matter a planet holds, and it sets the strength of its pull. Jupiter has more than twice the mass of the other seven planets combined.
- Neptune is smaller than Uranus but heavier: it is the denser of the two.
- Earth is the heaviest of the four rocky planets.
- Jupiter has about 318 times the mass of Earth.

Note on the data. Masses are shown as multiples of Earth's mass, computed from the table's figures in kilograms. Radii, masses, densities, rotation and orbital periods, gravity and escape velocities are the figures in the JPL Solar System Dynamics tables of planetary physical parameters, read on 3 October 2026. The five dwarf planets are the five in that table, which are the five the International Astronomical Union recognises.
