- Type a driver or team linked to the one you are in and press Enter. Any route to the destination counts.
- A name that is not linked, or is already on your route, is refused and costs nothing. Undo takes back a step.
- A hint gives the first letter of a next step. Hints count as help.
- Pause whenever you like (Esc). The board hides while the clock is stopped.
Type a team the driver drove for, or a driver of the team you are on, and press Enter. Keep going until you reach the destination.
About this quiz
28 drivers and 13 teams are in play: every driver listed in the final standings of at least 8 seasons from 2000 to 2025, and every team listed in at least 6 of them. A driver and a team are linked when a season's final standings list that driver with that team's car.
- Every journey runs from one driver to another, who never shared a team in the standings. Drivers and teams take turns on the route.
- Each season's final standings list a driver once, with one car, so a move in the middle of a season counts only for the team shown there.
- A team is the start of the car's name (McLaren Mercedes is McLaren). Footwork, the name Arrows raced under from 1991 to 1996, counts as Arrows. A name used again by a different outfit is the team of one run here: Mercedes of 2010 to 2025 and Renault of 2002 to 2020. A driver of another run is refused with the reason.
- A season before 2000 does not link a driver and a team here; naming one is refused with the reason. Drivers with fewer seasons and smaller teams can be typed but are not in play. A family name alone works when no other driver in the archive shares it.
- A shortest route with no help scores 5. Each extra link costs a point, down to 2. Arriving with help scores 1, and a revealed route scores 0.
- A hint gives the first letter of a next step on a shortest route; a second hint in the same place names it. When a journey ends, every equally short route is listed.
- The first three journeys of each day are the same for everyone. Play again for fresh ones.
