About this quiz
The euro is used well beyond the big economies: small states such as Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City use it, and so does Montenegro.
- Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Czechia, Hungary and Romania are in the European Union but keep their own currencies.
- Bulgaria adopted the euro on 1 January 2026.
- Montenegro and Kosovo use the euro without a formal arrangement with the European Union.
