About this quiz
A backwards continent quiz: the countries of Africa are the mines, and everything else is safe, including the capitals of Africa. The board is dealt once from Ribbia's list of 197 countries and is the same for everyone.
- Countries that span two continents (Russia, Turkey, Egypt, Kazakhstan and the countries of the Caucasus) and Cyprus are never on the board.
- A capital whose name holds a country's name (Mexico City, Monaco, Vatican City) is never on the board.
- Central America and the Caribbean count as North America.

Note on the data. Countries, capitals and continents are Ribbia's shared list, checked on 3 October 2026 against the United Nations member and observer lists, the M49 regions and the US Department of State list of independent states and their capitals. Countries that span two continents and capitals named after a country are left off the board, so no click can be argued.
